

Nicholas Clarke BVetMed MRCVS
Head Veterinary Surgeon
Nick graduated from the Royal Veterinary College in 2016 before spending 2 years working at a small animal hospital in North Norfolk. He then undertook a Junior Clinical Training Scholarship at Cambridge University then spent a further 2 years working in small animal practice in Norfolk.
Nick has now moved to Yorkshire with his fiancée Alex to take up the position of Head Veterinary Surgeon at The Dam. He enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine but has a particular interest in Neurology.
Whilst not at work Nick enjoys photography and exploring the countryside.

Alexandra Davis BVSc MRCVS
Veterinary Surgeon
Alex graduated from the University of Bristol in 2016 before returning home to spend 3 years working at a small animal practice in Lancashire. She then spent 2 years working in the Norfolk Broads before relocating to Yorkshire with her fiancé Nick. She enjoys a varied caseload at The Dam but has a particular interest in internal medicine.
Outside of work she enjoys baking, crocheting and going to the theatre.

Lauren Holmes MA VetMB MRCVS
Veterinary Surgeon
Lauren graduated from the University of Cambridge in 2021, with an intercalated degree in Zoology. While originally from Lancashire, Lauren moved to Yorkshire after university and started at The Dam shortly after. She has a special interest in internal medicine and ophthalmology, but enjoys seeing a wide variety of cases.
Outside of work she enjoys playing squash, reading and playing the piano. She has a rescue cat called Sooty.
